2026 - Gun Raffle of the Year
The Texas Prison Museum (TPM) is a 501 (c) 3 Non-Profit Org, whose mission is to educate the public about the history of the Texas Prison System from its commission date of 1848 to present. The museum is not part of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and therefore, is not supported by public tax funds of the State of Texas to include the Texas Department of Corrections.
The museum's livelihood, as a non-profit organization, utilizes monies absorbed through the below means:
a. Admission fees,
b. Merchandize sales,
c. Donation contributions and,
d. Fund raisers.
This is to provide information on the 2026 TPM Gun Raffle hereafter referred to as (raffle) to include the rules of the raffle and to outline how to take legal ownership of the prize won with the winning ticket.
RULES FOR THE RAFFLE
a.) Tickets are $100.00 per ticket. There is no limit on the number of tickets a person may purchase.
b.) There will be twelve (12) opportunities to win a prize with a $100.00 ticket purchase. The winning ticket will be immediately deposited back to the drawing container so the ticket holder may have another opportunity to win again!!!
c.) Four (4) prizes will be awarded on the second Tuesday of May, June and July 2026 beginning at 12:00 noon. The public is
welcome to attend this event at the TPM located at 491 Hwy 75 North, Huntsville, Texas 77320.
Only for unforeseen circumstances will the event time or date be altered.
d.) There will be a maximum of 750 tickets available for purchase for this fund raiser.
e.) Tickets will only be available for purchase between the dates of February 1, 2026, thru April 31, 2026.
f.) Regardless of the number of tickets sold during that window of opportunity, no tickets will be sold after April 31, 2026.
g.) A person wishing to purchase raffle tickets may do so by purchasing them at Huntsville Walker County Ace Hardware or at the
Texas Prison Museum at the addresses listed below. Persons who, due to logistic issues, may call the Director of the TPM,
David Stacks at (936) 295-2155 for assistance.
h.) The purchaser of the raffle ticket must print legibly the following contact information.
- Name
- Mailing Address
- Phone number
- Email address
i.) Prison Museum Board Members and TPM employees are not able to purchase a raffle ticket.
j.) All tickets will be placed in a rotating containment drum that will be agitated prior to a winning ticket being pulled. After the
winning ticket number has been redeposited into the containment drum, the containment drum will be thoroughly
agitated again, prior to the next ticket pull.
k.) Between pull periods, the TPM Director will secure the rotating containment drum with a lock so the drum cannot be tampered
between the dates of February through July 2026.
l.) The purchaser of the winning ticket will be contacted by the Director of the TPM through the information provided on the
winning raffle ticket.
m.) The TPM Director will notify raffle purchaser at large via group email informing them of the winner, providing the winner first
name, beginning alpha character of the last name. No other personal information regarding the winner will be given.
n.) The Director will communicate to the Gun Shop provider the name of the prize winner and the prize won.
o.) It will be the responsibility of the purchaser of the winning ticket to contact the Gun Shop provider's point of contact to comply
and complete all federal and state regulations pertaining to gun registration and background checks.
